Do you remember your favorite children's books?
My favorite children's books of all time are The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Goodnight Moon. In fact, the earliest memories I have of books is poking my fingers through those little holes

As I grew, I can't say that I actually remember beginning to
read, but I do remember very well people reading to me. My 2nd grade
teacher was my favorite person on earth when every afternoon she read
from James and the Giant Peach or Charlotte's Web. I remember being introduced to Ralph S. Mouse and Ramona Quimby, Age 8.
I read those Beverly Cleary books over and over. Even in high school,
when it was difficult to drag me away from my friends, I often found
myself retreating to the peacefulness of sitting alone with a good
I am now the very proud mother of a beautiful 2-year-old who is
just beginning to appreciate the wonderful world of books. Since I also
love them we indulge in quite a few for our collection, visit the
library frequently, and borrow from friends (thanks friends!).
There are hundreds of thousands of children's books out there.
Some are good and some not so good. Going into a book store I always
feel like I am walking in blind. The choices are overwhelming and if I
haven't heard of it before, it's hard to decide (especially with a
